Dr. Chasity Popillion

Physical Therapist, Certified Lymphedema Therapist
Chasity Popillion is native of Carencro, Louisiana and currently resides in Broussard with her Husband and Son. She is a graduate of Carencro High School class of 2006 and received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University. She then attended and graduated from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree in 2015. Her career began serving the Geriatric population in the skilled nursing/long term care setting. In 2017, she decided that she wanted to explore the field of Women’s Health. After a couple of interviews and months of searching, she landed quite close to the Women’s health field when she began working here at Quinn Physical Therapy.
She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) with a special interest in the treatment and management of Breast Cancer Related Lymphedema and Post-Mastectomy treatment and management. She found that there was such a lack of knowledge about Lymphedema causes and treatments that on October 1st she decided to birth a new project, a Physical Therapy blog dedicated to educating people on Physical Therapy services as well as utilizing the platform to bring awareness about Breast Cancer in young adults/women. The Butterfly Effect will allow Dr. Popillion the ability to spread knowledge and awareness to the public about the field of Physical Therapy and her specialty as a Certified Lymphedema Specialist.
